Services: Services for Mrs. Thelma S. Dauzat of Marksville will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Hessmer. Burial will be in the St. Alphonsus Mausoleum.
Visitation: Visitation will be at the Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm Thursday, February 18, 2010, and from 8:00 am until shortly before funeral time on Friday. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:30 pm Thursday evening.
Mrs. Dauzat, age 69 of Marksville passed away Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010 in Marksville. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Dauzat Sr. & 1 Grandson, Shaun Reason.
She is survived by 1 son, Donald ‘Buddy’ Dauzat Jr. & companion Katie Cooper, 4 daughters, Connie & husband Mike Reed, Donna & husband Billy Reason, Sonia & husband Greg Juneau, Trish Dauzat all of Hessmer, 4 sisters, Theresa Shores of Illinois, Linda Bruce of Ball, La., Ruth Dauzat & Kathy Aymond both of Marksville, 2 Step-Sisters, 3 brothers, Steve A. Sayer of Brouillette, Lester & Frank Sayer of Marksville, 2 Step-Brothers, 9 Grandchildren & 6 Great Grandchildren.
