Services: Funeral services for Effie Bardwell McCann will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 19, 2010 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Brother Dobie Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball.

Visitation: Visitation will be at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. McCann, 91, of Effie, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Marigold House.

Mrs. McCann was a member of Vick Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kearney McCann; parents, Joseph and Emsley Courtney Bardwell and granddaughter, Lauren McCann.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Donald W. McCann and wife, Elizabeth of Houston, Texas; daughter, JoAnn Cooley and husband, Kenneth of Pineville; grandchildren, Stephanie Kurtz, Michaele Williams both of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Kenneth D. Cooley, Jr. of Pineville and JoAnna Seaman of Lake Charles.

Pallbearers will include Jerry Kurtz, Rodney Stamm, Tim Williams, Henry Leckie, Jason Seaman and Tommy Dunn.
